Rancho Alamitos (8-0) vs. Covina (7-1)

There's a good reason why Rancho Alamitos, ranked third in Southern Section Division VII and 10th in the county sportswriters poll, is one of only four unbeaten teams in the county. No opponent has been able to stop Leo Kosi or the Vaqueros' running game, which is averaging 305 yards. Quarterback Taylor Yandell doesn't have a high completion percentage (38.8), but he does average a county-best 22.8 yards per completion. The Colts, defending Division VII champions and ranked fifth in Division VII, defeated the Vaqueros, 37-7, last year.
