No. 6 Santa Margarita (7-1, 3-0) vs. El Toro (5-3, 2-1)

7:30 P.M. FRIDAY TRABUCO HILLS HIGH SCHOOL

El Toro needs to win to keep pace for a playoff berth. Next week the Chargers face Irvine (5-3, 1-2), which plays winless Woodbridge Friday. El Toro has some of the county's most potent skill players in tailback Richard Oates (7.8 yards per carry), slot back Murle Sango (17 touchdowns), and Michael Smith (12 catches, 213 yards) joining Darron Ohlwiler at wide receiver. The Chargers will face a defense that has allowed only 31 points--22 in one game--during its five-game winning streak. Santa Margarita's offense is no slouch, either. Billy Newman is the county's third-leading rusher.
