'Funny Bones'

November 10, 1996|Kevin Thomas

Peter Chelsom's "Funny Bones," a striking 1995 comedy, is frequently hilarious, sometimes in an exceedingly dark and even surreal manner. Once past an opening credit sequence so bizarre you wonder if you're watching the wrong movie, "Funny Bones" cuts to Las Vegas, where Oliver Platt's (pictured) Tommy Fawkes is about to make his Strip debut. With Jerry Lewis and Ruta Lee (TMC Tuesday at 9 p.m.).
