* GYMNASTICS: John Hancock Tour of World Gymnastics Champions, the Pond of Anaheim, 7:30 p.m., featuring U.S. Olympians Shannon Miller, Dominique Moceanu, Dominique Dawes, Amy Chow, Jaycie Phelps and Amanda Borden.

PARTICIPATION SPORTS

* SKIING: Snow Summitt is operating one chair, accessing intermediate and advanced runs, with $25 adult lift tickets. Bear Mountain is operating two lifts, four trails, accessing all levels, $25 adult lift tickets. Snow Valley will decide today whether to reopen Saturday. In the Eastern Sierra, Mammoth Mountain is operating four chairs and two gondolas and most trails out of main lodge, all levels, $35 tickets until Nov. 25.

* POLO: Eighth annual Road Runner tournament finals, Eldorado Polo Club, Indio, 2 p.m.

* WATER POLO: Pepperdine at USC, noon; UC Irvine vs. UCLA, Sunset Recreation Center, noon.

PARTICIPATION SPORTS

* RUNNING: The Corrida de Campeones, a series of races to benefit the Madres del Este de Los Angeles higher education scholarship program, will be held at Belvedere Park in East Los Angeles. A 5K run, a 5K walk, a 10K run and a one-mile fun run for children will be held. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and is $20 for adults and $10 for children under 12. The races begin at 8 a.m. An elite invitational 10K follows at 10:45 a.m. and the event includes a festival with expo booths, a live band, mariachis and L.A. Galaxy players signing autographs.
