November 28, 1996|MICHAEL HAEDERLE

But of which turkey shall we speak? The feckless fowl, gobbler today but gone tomorrow? Or the nation of the Turks? You might say, "Don't be a turkey." And that would be very good advice. For were this soliloquy to make its way to Broadway, it would doubtless be deemed a turkey.

I'd try to make it up to you. Perhaps we'd go bowling, where three strikes would earn you a turkey. Or we might go dancing instead. And turkey trot.
