Six players on the Mission College men's soccer team earned All-Western State Conference honors.

Forward Luis Mesta (28 goals, 12 assists), was the conference player of the year and a first-team selection along with midfielders Carlos Cabrera (12 goals, 13 assists) and Jorge Trejo (10 goals, 10 assists).

Mission midfielder Felix Avalos, fullback Ludwing Pinto and stopper Brian Murray were second-team picks.

Mission finished 9-6-6 and 4-3-3 in conference.

Cal State Northridge freshman forward Michael Preis was selected to the All-Mountain-Pacific Sports Federation soccer team.

Preis had seven goals and six assists for the Matadors (4-10-2).

Midfielder Brandon Fonseca, a Northridge sophomore, received honorable mention.

Midfielder Pete Vagenas of UCLA, a freshman from St. Francis High, also earned honorable mention.
