The Magic School Bus Family Holiday Special (KCET, Sunday at 7:30 a.m.), all about recycling this year, features Dolly Parton as the voice of Murph, the proprietor of a recycling plant. Parton teams with Ms. Frizzle (Lily Tomlin) to sing original songs and carols to show children that "it's good news to reuse." For ages 2 to 5.

Teen life during the last five decades will be viewed in a five-hour Flashback festival (Disney Channel, Tuesday beginning at 7 p.m.). The lineup, in order: "Flash Forward," episodes of "Square Pegs," "Room 222," "Gidget" and "Our Miss Brooks." For the family.

Children and their parents can start ringing in the new year before midnight with a two-hour comedy special. The New Year's Eve Jam (WB, Tuesday at 8 p.m.) will include animated siblings Yakko, Wakko and Dot from "Steven Spielberg Presents Animaniacs," as well as Mike O'Malley from "Life With Roger," Barry Watson and Jessica Biel of "Seventh Heaven." They will offer their New Year's resolutions and their most cherished memories. \o7 For the family.\f7

The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh returns to ABC's regular Saturday morning schedule (Saturday at 11 a.m.). In the episode called "Home Is Where the Home Is," Christopher Robin breaks a favorite family heirloom and decides to run away from home until he is convinced that there is no running away from mistakes. \o7 For ages 2 to 5.\f7

The new season of The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo premieres with "The Alligator Mystery" (Nickelodeon, Saturday at 9 p.m.). Young actress Irene Ng ("The Joy Luck Club") plays the teenage detective, veteran actor Pat Morita plays her grandfather who always offers encouragement and support. \o7 For ages 10 to 15.\f7
