No opponent has been tougher on the Ducks than the Detroit Red Wings.

It started with the first game in franchise history and hasn't varied much since, although the Ducks beat the Red Wings for the first time this season, winning 3-1, on Nov. 24 in Anaheim. Before that, the Ducks had a 12-game winless streak that started with a 7-2 loss on Oct. 8, 1993.

Overall, Detroit leads the series, 9-1-3 and has outscored the Ducks 62-36.
