Vitali Yachmenev had the Kings' only goal against Vancouver. He and linemates Dimitri Khristich and Vladimir Tsyplakov have combined for 16 points over the last five games.

Ranger update--Niklas Sundstrom's goal at 1:24 in overtime gave the Rangers a 5-4 victory over San Jose at Madison Square Garden on Monday. The win was only the Rangers' second in their last 10 games. Tonight's game will be the first of a three-game trip. Wayne Gretzky leads the league with 62 assists and has a team-high 79 points. Mark Messier is the top goal scorer with 33, followed by Adam Graves and Luc Robitaille, who both have 23.
