San Francisco-based BankAmerica Corp. formed an alliance with New York equity trading firm D.E. Shaw & Co., part of a plan to offer more investment banking services to customers. . . . Pasadena-based Tetra Tech Inc. said it signed a 10-year contract worth as much as $230 million to provide the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency with scientific and engineering services. . . . Sunnyvale-based Advanced Micro Devices Inc. said it signed a $967-million loan agreement with a bank syndicate to fund a new semiconductor fabrication factory and research center in Dresden, Germany.
