Esperanza, Senior; Baseball/Pitcher-Infielder

Esperanza depends on a group of strong players to contribute when needed. Last week, Pack stepped up. He had a double, sacrifice fly and three runs batted in in a 10-1 victory over Tustin in the Newport Elks tournament title game. He was three for three with a home run and pitched five innings in a 7-3 semifinal victory over Mater Dei.

Dominique DeGrammont/Track and Field/Hurdler

* Tustin, senior. Set Irvine Invitational 110-meter hurdles record (14.01 seconds). Also won 300 hurdles and anchored 400-relay victory.

Scott Moser/Track and Field/Discus

* Huntington Beach, senior. Hurled discus 196 feet 3, second best mark in county prep history, in dual-meet loss to Tustin.

Ryan Vorell/Baseball/First Baseman

* Sonora, senior. Went four for four with three RBIs in a 9-5 victory over El Monte in title game of Glendora tournament.
