Spotlight: LittleBrother May Be Watching You

March 25, 1997

Milpitas-based Kansmen Corp. unveiled the latest version of its LittleBrother software that enables companies to monitor employee use of the Internet and intranets--and can even block access to certain Web sites. "LittleBrother is not a censorship tool--it is a business productivity tool," company President Kan Ng said. The software can identify who uses the Net, where they go, how long they stay and who's downloading material unrelated to work or visiting chat rooms.
