Menlo Park-based JetFax Inc., which makes software for combination printer and fax machines, filed for the sale of 3.5 million common shares in an initial public offering. . . . Santa Clara-based Intel Corp. said it invested $14.75 million in video and audio production equipment supplier Avid Technologies Inc., whose systems were initially based on Apple Computer Co.'s Macintosh. . . . Los Angeles-based Atlantic Richfield Co. announced a 2-for-1 stock split and boosted its quarterly dividend 4% to $1.425 a share on a pre-split basis. . . . Pomona-based Hot Topic Inc. reported earnings for the fourth quarter ended Feb. 1 of $2 million, or 41 cents a share, compared with net income of $1.03 million, or 33 cents, for the year-ago period.
