Dehere Learns to Box Oranges

March 27, 1997|CHRIS BAKER

The Clippers may not have a star player, but they've gotten contributions from everyone this season. Guard Terry Dehere, who had been held out of three of the last six games, had seven points, two rebounds and two steals as the Clippers rallied to beat Vancouver in overtime Tuesday night.

"Terry couldn't box oranges in the first half on defense," Coach Bill Fitch said. "I sat him down and he had a chance to think about it. I thought he did a great job filling in at the end."
