Three white separatists will be retried on charges linked to two bank robberies and bombings at newspaper and Planned Parenthood offices in Spokane, where the first trial ended with a deadlocked jury, U.S. Atty. James Connelly said. A jury did not reach a decision on Washington charges against Verne Jay Merrell, Charles Barbee and Robert Berry, all of Sandpoint, Idaho. But it convicted them of lesser charges in an Oregon bank robbery attempt.
