IRVINE — Pacific Biometrics Inc., which develops diagnostic products for chronic diseases, said it lost $439,026, or 12 cents a share, for the third fiscal quarter, compared to a net loss of $147,443, or 9 cents a share, for the year-earlier period. Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 increased 60% to $648,550 from $404,145.

For the nine months, the company lost $1.3 million, or 40 cents a share, compared to a net loss of $614,554, or 42 cents a share, for the first three quarters of the preceding year. Revenue was up 58% to $1.9 million from $1.2 million.
