The bodies of two men, both bound and with gunshot wounds, were discovered on Topanga Canyon Boulevard near Topanga State Park on Saturday morning.
One victim suffered a single shot to his upper body and was found by a motorist at 6:20 a.m. in the 1600 block of the isolated roadside, Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies said.
Forty-five minutes later, the second body was found by another passerby a mile south. That victim suffered several gunshots to the upper body.
Investigators said that the men were in their late 20s to early 30s and that they think the deaths are related.
Authorities had yet to identify the slain men and would not release other details.
