Pacific Bell Training Program Expanded

May 28, 1997|(Vicki Torres)

Pacific Bell Directory, which has provided free or low-cost training programs to small businesses for the last three years, has announced expansion of its outreach effort in a partnership with nine other corporations. The new partners will enable Pacific Bell Directory to double the number of classes offered statewide each year from 100 to 200. The partners include Apple Computer, Bank of America, Claris, Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States, Kaiser Permanente, Microsoft, NEC, Pacific Bell and United Parcel Service. Pacific Bell Directory publishes Small Business Success, a yearly magazine on small business. With the other outreach partners, it has created a small-business Web site (http://www.smallbizpartners.com) and a small-business survival kit with business information and corporate discounts.
