MILWAUKEE — Running back Brad LaCombe scored on a 17-yard run with 30 seconds left in the game Friday to give the Milwaukee Mustangs a 47-44 victory over the Piranhas in an Arena Football League game at the Bradley Center.
The Piranhas (1-5) had a chance to tie the score in the last second of the game, but Ian Howfield missed a 28-yard field goal attempt.
The final score for the Mustangs (4-2) came on the heels of a Piranha touchdown that fullback Darren Williams scored when he ran it in from one-yard out to give Anaheim a 44-40 lead with 1:15 left to play.
Anaheim's Bryan Reeves, who missed the last two games because of a suspension, finished with a game-high 13 receptions for 156 yards. Rookie quarterback Mark Grieb, who replaced Lee Williamson in the second quarter, finished with 16 of 24 for 154 yards and three touchdowns.
