ORANGE COUNTY BRIEFLY

June 13, 1997|(Dow Jones)

IRVINE — CoCensys Inc. said Thursday that the Parke-Davis division of Warner-Lambert Co. will phase out marketing and patient support programs for the Alzheimer's drug Cognex, but the companies are negotiating for a replacement product.

A Warner-Lambert spokesman said Parke-Davis is terminating the program because of reduced demand for the CoCensys drug. Parke-Davis said it will continue to make Cognex available.
