Publicity Executives Move Up at Warner Bros., Paramount

Two studios announced promotions of top publicity executives on Monday.

Barbara Brogliatti has been promoted to the new position of senior Barbara Brogliatti vice president of corporate communications for Warner Bros. Brogliatti for the last two years has headed worldwide television publicity.

She will spearhead communications on legal and business issues, public affairs and general studio matters. Robert Friedman, who left Warner late last year to become vice chairman of Paramount's Motion Picture Group, had previously handled such duties.

Brogliatti will report to chairmen and co-chief executives Robert Daly and Terry Semel. Said Daly: "Warner Bros. is obviously in a lot of different businesses. We're a $6-billion company. This promotion is a recognition of our needs and her growth in her position."

At Paramount, Blaise Noto, former chief of domestic publicity for Paramount Pictures' film division, becomes executive vice president of worldwide publicity for the Paramount Motion Picture Group.

Noto takes over international responsibilities in the wake of Cheryl Boone Isaacs' departure for the position of theatrical marketing president at New Line Cinema.

Noto joined Paramount in 1990. He reports to Arthur Cohen, president of worldwide marketing for the motion picture group.
