Looking to establish itself as a contender for the City Section 4-A Division title, the North Hollywood High girls' basketball team accomplished its goal of winning the Washington tournament.
The Huskies won four games en route to the title, including victories over perennial City powerhouses Dorsey and Washington.
The Huskies were led by tournament most valuable player Tashean Thomas, who averaged 16.8 points in four games. She scored 16 points and Claudia Villa had 19 points in the 72-55 victory over Washington.
