While reading "Ready for Drive-Time Players" (by Kevin Baxter, Dec. 14), I almost choked on my huevos rancheros as I read Pepe Barreto's boasting. Not only does he lack talent, wit and a sense of humor, his arrogant and pompous attitude has been his trademark for years. He has a great radio voice, but what good is this when it lacks any sort of personality whatsoever?
Why does it seem like every time Calendar has a radio piece it is about Spanish-language stations? I understand that Southern California has a large number of Spanish-speaking and bilingual residents, but your English- reading and -speaking readers would appreciate an occasional English radio review or interview.
