Opportunities for Volunteering

Hospice Preferred Choice Inc., formerly Olsten Kimberly QualityCare Hospice, needs volunteers to visit hospice patients and their families throughout Los Angeles County. No previous experience or medical training is needed. Orientation sessions are being held in the west San Fernando Valley on Saturday and Sunday and in West Los Angeles on Thursday evenings starting July 24. Doingsomething, a national volunteer network, helps connect busy people with volunteer opportunities that usually last only four hours and are held on weekends. The group works with a wide variety of agencies. Projects help the homeless, the environment, the elderly, animals, disabled children and other causes. Call (310) 391-3907.
