For about 175 senior citizens who live in the Lake Forest Nursing Home, a personal visit from a volunteer would be one of the best holiday gifts of all.
"Some of our seniors are adjusting to many losses and we like to give them extra attention over the holidays," said Shiffy Crane, director of activities and volunteers. "We don't need contributions of food as much as for people to call and spend time with them."
