Mayor Christina L. Shea has been receiving seven to 10 phone calls a week on her special hotline since introducing the service for residents in September.

The mayor's office said she returns most of the calls herself.

Residents may call the line to convey their thoughts and concerns on issues and events in the community.

The hotline, (714) 724-6211, is available 24 hours a day for residents to leave messages.
