vs.

ASTROS' SHANE REYNOLDS

(6-10, 4.42 ERA)

* Update--This is the start of a seven-game trip that includes two in St. Louis and a two-game showdown in San Francisco next Wednesday and Thursday. The Dodgers come into this matchup of division leaders having lost three in a row. They are a .500 club on the road at 35-35. The Dodgers tried to give right-hander Chan Ho Park, who has pitched a career-high 171 1/3 innings, a rest by skipping him once in the rotation. But when he returned against Florida on Saturday, he lasted a season-low four innings, giving up five runs and eight hits, including three homers. The Dodgers played twice in the Astrodome in June and lost both games. Including last season, the Dodgers have won only two of the last eight in the Astrodome.

* Saturday, 5 p.m.--Tom Candiotti (10-5, 3.28) vs. Darryl Kile (17-6, 2.42).

* Sunday, 11:30 a.m.--Hideo Nomo (13-11, 4.30) vs. Chris Holt (8-10, 3.45).
