NFL WEEK 3

Daily Report

September 15, 1997

HEY, ISN'T THAT DR. QUINN,

TEAM-TRAINER WOMAN?

Chicago running back Rashaan Salaam was lost for the season when he broke his right leg and tore ankle ligaments in the Bears' game against Detroit. . . . Atlanta Falcon quarterback Chris Chandler, who left last week's game against Carolina because of a concussion, was injured again against Oakland. Chandler bruised his sternum when he was driven to the turf by Oakland's Darrell Russell in the third quarter. Russell was penalized for roughing the passer and Chandler will likely sit out next week's game. . . . Green Bay strong safety LeRoy Butler tore his right biceps while tackling Miami's Karim Abdul-Jabbar for a four-yard loss in the third quarter. . . . St. Louis wide receiver Isaac Bruce saw his first action of 1997, but re-injured his hamstring in the first quarter and did not return.
