Jason Cook of Woodland Hills and Ross Loel of Sherman Oaks are among the players who will be competing today in a USTA men's professional satellite tournament involving 64 singles players and 32 doubles teams at the L.A. Fitness Warner Center Club in Woodland Hills.

Competition will run through Sunday, with play starting at 10 a.m. each day.

Other events in the region today include:

Women's soccer: At 4 p.m., La Verne at Cal Lutheran; at 7 p.m., Cal State Los Angeles at CS Northridge.

Women's volleyball: At 5 p.m., Orange Coast at Ventura; at 7 p.m., Moorpark at Chaffey, Santa Barbara at Antelope Valley.

Men's water polo: At 3:30 p.m., Pierce at Chaffey, Rio Hondo at Valley, Santa Monica at Ventura.

Women's water polo: At 4 p.m., Rio Hondo at Valley.

College wrestling: At 7:30 p.m., Golden West at Moorpark.

High school cross-country: At 3 p.m., Agoura, Calabasas, Oak Park, Westlake in Agoura-Oak Park Invitational at Oak Canyon Park, Channel League meet No. 1 at Dos Pueblos High; at 4 p.m., Golden League meet #1 at Antelope Valley High.

Girls' tennis: At 2 p.m., Harvard-Westlake at Peninsula; at 3 p.m., Canyon at Palmdale.

Girls' volleyball: At 2:30 p.m., Granada Hills at Birmingham, El Camino Real at Kennedy, Hollywood at Verdugo Hills; at 5 p.m., St. Bonaventure at Thacher; at 5:30 p.m., Alemany at Calabasas; at 6 p.m., Fillmore at Moorpark.

Boys' water polo: At 3:15 p.m., Royal at Buena, Newbury Park at Ventura.
