Having a 'Sacred' Cow

September 27, 1997

According to Judith Michaelson (" 'Nothing Sacred's' Producers Put Their Faith in Viewers," Sept. 17), executive producers David Manson and Richard Kramer are Jewish, three of the five writers are Catholic and the star, Kevin Anderson, is a lapsed Catholic.

I thought I would wait until I saw the first episode before I commented. I'm glad I waited.

I wonder if the producers ever thought to come up with a show about a rabbi who has doubts about his faith, runs around in sweatshirt and jeans and has an old flame, now separated from her husband, come on to him.
