Friends of the Family, a family counseling and education center in Van Nuys, is looking for former teen parents to volunteer as parent group facilitators with the Young Moms and Young Dads Program. Volunteers will receive extensive training to work with young parents ages 13 to 25. Bicultural and bilingual volunteers are encouraged to apply. For information call, Regina at (818) 988-4430.

TreePeople and the L.A. Conservation Corps are seeking volunteers to help plant 30 California pepper trees along Sheldon Street between Roscoe Boulevard and Arleta Avenue in Sun Valley. The tree-planting begins at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. Volunteers are asked to meet at the site. For information, call TreePeople at (818) 753-4600.
