FULLERTON — A group of community members--mostly parents whose children attend Fullerton elementary and junior high schools--launched an organization this week to promote the city's public education programs.
Organizers said Community Advocates for Public Education also will fight efforts to ban services in local schools, including psychological counseling, bilingual education and health clinics for needy students. Some residents have criticized the district for such programs.
