Women's Voices

April 07, 1998

"Remember why we are all here," Holocaust survivor Gerda Klein told guests at a recent luncheon in Irvine for the Women's Division of the Jewish Federation of Orange County. "Don't eat your cake alone. You must give faces to those who have no faces--those poor and hungry in the former Soviet Union, those new immigrants in Israel, those right here in Orange County who are in despair or distress."

During the Women's Voices benefit, Bunnie Mauldin of Newport Beach received the federation's Anne Entin Woman of the Year Award for her service on behalf of the community. Mauldin thanked federation members, telling them she had been inspired by their example. Thank you for "giving me the opportunity to find out that one woman can make a difference," she said.
