HippieFest Dance to Benefit Shelters

April 22, 1998|LISA ADDISON

HomeAid HippieFest, a 1960s-themed dinner and dance fund-raiser, will take place May 9 at the Irvine Marriott.

Proceeds from the 6 p.m. event will benefit HomeAid Orange County, a nonprofit organization that builds and renovates shelters for temporarily homeless men, women and children.

"The 1960s were a memorable decade for almost everyone, and here's a chance to relive everything from the music to the fashions while raising money for a very worthy cause," event co-chairwoman Donna Hahn said.

Tickets are $66 per person; table sponsorships are available for $650, $1,250, $2,500 and $5,000.

The Web site for HomeAid Orange County is: http://www.HomeAid.org.
