Turned Off by Prop. 9

August 02, 1998

"Utilities Expect Big Write-Off if Measure Wins" [July 14] shows the utilities want to be bailed out for decades of mismanagement and high energy rates.

California voters will have the opportunity to vote for Proposition 9, Electric Utilities Reform, in November. Proposition 9 will stop the $28-billion utility bailout and restore responsible management of California's utilities.
