The city will spend nearly $20,000 on a survey designed to determine what residents think about the community and its services.
Council members voted unanimously this week to hire a consulting firm to conduct the telephone survey. Questions will be asked in a variety of languages, including Spanish and Korean.
City officials said the survey will help leaders stay in touch with the community and receive comment from residents on services including police and fire.
The consultants will also compare results of the survey with voting histories in Garden Grove. Such issues as the legalization of marijuana and city fees and assessments will be examined.
