Man's Body Found in Parking Lot

January 09, 1998|VALERIE BURGER

A body was found in a parking lot at Raymer and Keswick streets early Thursday, Los Angeles police said.

The body, found by employees of Marble & Granite on their way to work, had not been identified by Thursday evening, authorities said.

LAPD Det. Stephen Fisk said the victim, a Latino thought to be in his late 30s, was shot in the back sometime Wednesday night. He was lying about 40 feet from a black Honda Accord with both doors open. Since both car doors were open, investigators believe another person may have been in the car with the victim at the time of the shooting.
