Times Names President of New Edition

The Los Angeles Times named James D. Helin president of its new California Edition expected to launch later this year. Helin, 55, is responsible for developing and implementing marketing, distribution and advertising strategies for the edition, which will circulate throughout California. Helin has more than 25 years of marketing and advertising experience, most recently heading up his own management consulting company and previously serving as chief executive and managing director of the D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles advertising agency in Los Angeles.
