Authors Manfred and Eva Krutein of Irvine have published the latest installment of a trilogy that chronicles the couple's life in Germany during World War II and their subsequent journey to Chile and the United States.

"America? America, From Immigration to Espionage," covers their experiences from 1960 to 1974, including Manfred Krutein's work on a secret U.S. government project to raise a sunken Russian submarine from the Pacific Ocean.

Eva Krutein's first two books, "Eva's War: A True Story of Survival" and "Paradise Lost and Found--Odyssey Chile," chronicle her experiences from 1945 to 1959.
