Pecorelli's Two Goals Lift Crescenta Valley, 3-2

After squandering a two-goal lead, Crescenta Valley High pulled out a 3-2 victory over Hoover in a Pacific League boys' soccer game Tuesday at Crescenta Valley.

Lindon Pecorelli scored twice for Crescenta Valley (10-5-1, 3-1 in league play), including the game winner with six minutes to play.

Eddie Nashat also scored for Crescenta Valley.

Andy Tsarukyan and Artin Sanatgar scored for the Tornadoes (5-6-4, 1-3) in the second half.

In other boys' games:

Rio Mesa 4, Hueneme 0--David Cervantes and Bryan Monka each scored twice for the Spartans (9-4-2, 2-3-2) in a Channel League game at Hueneme.

Hart 2, Burbank 1--Jose Ochoa and Chris James each scored for the Indians (5-8-1, 2-1-1) in a Foothill League game at Burbank.

Reseda 5, Van Nuys 0--Oscar Sims and Carlos Morales each scored twice in a Valley Pac-8 Conference game at Reseda (9-0-2, 6-0-1).

Monroe 1, North Hollywood 0--Nicolas Mendez scored in a Valley Pac-8 Conference game at Monroe (6-3-3, 4-1-2).

Village Christian 2, Maranatha 0--Saro Amirian scored both goals for Village Christian (7-1-3, 1-0-2) in an Alpha League game at Maranatha.

Paraclete 6, Vasquez 1--Brad Griffiths and Pat Hauge each scored two goals in a High Desert League game at Vasquez. Paraclete improved to 7-5-1, 4-0.

GIRLS

Chatsworth 4, El Camino Real 1--Leila Pate had two goals in a Coast-Valley League game at Chatsworth (16-1-1, 3-0).

Palisades 3, Grant 2--Karla Soriano and Diane Reifig scored, but host Grant (3-10-1, 0-3) fell in a Coast-Valley League game at Grant.

San Pedro 2, Granada Hills 1--Michelle Vega scored for visiting Granada Hills (6-5, 1-2) in a Coast-Valley League game.

Birmingham 3, Cleveland 0--Krissy Oakes scored the goals in a West Valley League game at Birmingham (8-2-1, 3-0).

Kennedy 7, Sherman Oaks CES 0--Jennifer Bernson had three goals in a West Valley League game at Sherman Oaks CES.

San Fernando 2, Canoga Park 0--Marisela Segovia and Jackie Rosales scored for the Tigers (1-5, 1-2) in a West Valley League game at Canoga Park.

Crescenta Valley 10, Hoover 0--Stacie Lyans scored four goals in a Pacific League game at Hoover. Crescenta Valley improved to 10-2-4, 4-0.

Buena 3, San Marcos 1--Natalie Sanderson had two goals for the Bulldogs (11-2-4, 5-0-2) in a Channel League game at San Marcos.

Ventura 4, Dos Pueblos 0--Kitty Sexton scored three times and Jeannine Loudermilk recorded her fourth consecutive shutout in a Channel League game at Ventura (10-7, 5-2).

Rio Mesa 2, Hueneme 1--Karina Molthu's goal late in the first half snapped a 1-1 tie in a Channel League game at Rio Mesa (8-2-1, 4-2-1).

Hart 4, Burbank 0--Allie Pavoni had a goal for the Indians (12-2-3, 3-0-1) in a Foothill League game at Burbank.

Canyon 2, Burroughs 0--Gentry Green and Nicole Modugno scored, and Marisa Ready-Cochran recorded the shutout in a Foothill League game at Canyon.

Quartz Hill 3, Lancaster 0--Kellie Cox, Julie Gold and Christina Cesena scored for Quartz Hill (9-4-2, 3-0-1) in a Golden League game at Lancaster (6-11-1, 1-2-1).
