Port Royal Privateers drop anchor at O.C.'s Maritime History Center to lay waste to misinformation.

The Hawaiian Chieftain and the Lady Washington will be available for dockside tours Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; fee is $1 to $3. The Pilgrim will be open for free dockside tours both days from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; fee $1 to $3. Sailings aboard the Hawaiian Chieftain and Lady Washington will be from 2 to 5 p.m Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $40 (adults) and $25 (children under 12). Reservations suggested.

A free OCMI lecture, "Tracking Marine Mammals in the Wild," will be given Saturday at 12:30 p.m. The R/V Sea Explorer Cruise runs Saturday from 1:30 to 4 p.m.; $12 to $18.

Port Royal Privateer Workshops

Workshops are offered several times a year for members of the Port Royal Privateers living history group. Sunday's sessions in Dana Point will be open to the public as well.

These are presented as informational sessions, not entertainment, and members will not be dressed in costume or perform in character. Sessions are first-come, first-served, and most are free, but a small materials fee may apply.

9 a.m.: Piracy versus Privateering

10: Marlinspike Skills

11: Fashion in the Time of Henry Morgan

Noon: Working Aloft

1 p.m.: Lunch break

1:45: Songs for Pirates

2:15: Character Development (session ends about 5:15 p.m.)
