Citizenship Event to Be Held at Hollywood Park

July 10, 1998

The U.S. Citizenship Action Network is hosting an event at Hollywood Park to help local legal immigrants apply for U.S. citizenship, officials announced. Volunteers from local community organizations will be on hand to guide immigrants through the citizenship application process. "We want to help out the community. A lot of these people don't get this assistance for free," said citizenship instructor Joel Baez.

The event, to be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 25, will provide applicants with free identification photos and Immigration and Naturalization Service forms. The application fee is $95 plus $25 for fingerprints.
