Church of the Master Offers Praise Concert

The choirs and musical groups of Presbyterian Church of the Master will present a "Celebration of Praise" concert at 7 p.m. Sunday. The church is at 26051 Marguerite Parkway, Mission Viejo. (949) 582-2670.

New Senior Pastor Tyler Guy will lead his first worship services at 9 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday at South Shores Church. The Christian Preschool and Kindergarten is seeking alumni to celebrate the school's 30th anniversary. An open house will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday. Temple Beth Sholom will have a "Soiree en Paris Sous les Etoiles et la Luna" ("An Evening Party in Paris Under the Stars and Moon") at 7:30 tonight. The temple social hall will be transformed into a Parisian street, complete with a 7-foot Eiffel Tower and 3-foot tiered fountain. There will be dinner, dancing and a silent auction. Rabbi Arnold Rachlis and Cantor Ruti Braier will lead a 10th anniversary service at 8 p.m. Friday at the University Synagogue. Past presidents will share their stories about the "early days." Catholic Charities of Orange County will sponsor a "Weekend Getaway" program June 19-21 at the Marywood Center. The event will offer therapeutic recreation, music and arts and crafts for disabled 5- to 17-year-olds. Each child will be matched with an adult counselor for the weekend.
