Calvary Chapel (22-4)--Calvary Chapel swept the two-game regular-season series against Orange Lutheran. The defending section champions, the Eagles returned seven starters this year, including All-Southern Section shortstop Christy Ring, the only senior starter. She repeated as Olympic League most valuable player for the first-place Eagles. Ring is batting .506 with 23 runs batted in. Amanda Hallaway is batting .481 with 33 RBIs. Sophomore pitcher Sarah Hughes (10-2) will start today. She threw a three-hitter in a 2-0 semifinal victory over Lakewood St. Joseph Tuesday.

Key to the game--Both teams are young. Calvary Chapel Coach Rose Imbriano says the game will come down to who has the better hitters. It will be up to Ring to lead the Eagles to another section title. The Eagles are deep and experienced in this sort of playoff situation. Miklos thought before the season began that his team would do well just to get into the playoffs. Look for each team to be back here next season, but as for today, the nod goes to Calvary Chapel.
