* Slick-fielding shortstop with strong arm is headed to Baylor on scholarship. Batted team-leading .405 with 22 runs batted in for Lancers, who tied for second with Simi Valley in Marmonte League.

5-4, Sr., Outfielder

* Speedy center fielder will play for Purdue in Big Ten Conference next season against sister Cathy, an outfielder at Michigan. Led Chargers with .400 batting average, five doubles and four triples.

Tracie Hall / Simi Valley

5-9, Jr., Infielder

* All-Marmonte League second baseman, who made only six errors in 141 chances, emerged as Simi Valley's most consistent hitter. Batted .350 with 35 hits--including five doubles--and 19 RBIs.

Oli Keohohou / Newbury Park

Bats/throws: R/R

5-5, So., Infielder

* Versatile player moved from third base to first this season and led Marmonte League in nearly every offensive category. Batted .516 with 47 hits, including 24 for extra bases. Scored 32 runs and had 24 RBIs.

Cindy Muran / Newbury Park

5-7, Jr., Infielder

* All-Marmonte League shortstop with exceptional range showed similar talent at plate. Batted .483 with 42 hits, 21 runs and 20 RBIs for one of region's strongest-hitting teams.

Kathryn Nevard / Camarillo

5-7, So., Pitcher

* Other half of region's most dominating pitching rotation. Selected Marmonte League most valuable pitcher. Allowed only seven earned runs and struck out 102 in 97 innings.

Amber Rodarte / Buena

5-9, Sr., Catcher

* Solid catcher improved batting average more than 100 points in final high school season. Batted team-best .419 with seven doubles in leading Bulldogs to Southern Section Division II playoffs.

Rhianna Rogers / Rio Mesa

5-10, Sr., Infielder

* Aggressive third baseman used size and quickness to anchor Spartans' defense at third base. Batted .457 with six doubles and 17 RBIs and was selected Channel League most valuable player.

Collen Spencer / Thousand Oaks

5-8, Sr., Infielder

* Other half of Thousand Oaks' top-shelf middle infield. Second baseman has scholarship to University of Southern Mississippi. Batted .402 with team bests of 33 hits and 21 runs.

Lori Tande / Simi Valley

5-7, Sr., Utility

* As pitcher, finished 12-1 with 0.54 ERA. When not in circle, anchored defense at shortstop. Batted .284 and scored 21 runs as leadoff batter. Headed to Northeastern Louisiana on scholarship.

5-8, So., Catcher

* Exceptional catcher with tools to become one of region's all-time best. Batted .512 with 43 hits, including nine doubles, four triples and six home runs.

Miki Mangan / Camarillo

Coach of the year

* Guided Scorpions to successful season despite rash of injuries and illness. Managed to keep team focused on way to Marmonte League title, Division I semifinals and 21-6 record.
