Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach and Santa Ana are the biggest feeder schools to Orange Coast College, according to a report released by the campus.
Out of the college's 25,372 students in fall 1997, 46.2% were from those communities.
The most came from Costa Mesa, which registered 4,793 students. Huntington Beach followed with 4,260 students; Santa Ana had 2,664.
Also near the top of the list were Newport Beach, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Irvine and Westminster.
