CHISINAU, Moldova — Voters appeared today to have rejected hesitant market reforms, as preliminary results in Sunday's parliamentary election showed the Communist Party way ahead.
Electoral officials told state television that the Communist Party was in front with 33.2% of the vote after 27% of the ballots had been counted.
