Former Crescenta Valley High softball player Corrie Atwood scored from second base with no out in the bottom of the eighth inning Friday to give Saugus a 1-0 victory over her former school in a nonleague game at Saugus.
Atwood, a junior third baseman, walked to lead off the eighth and went to second on a bunt single by Kelly Cornelison before Julie Watson's sacrifice bunt was misplayed for a two-base throwing error.
Cornelison was two for three.
Watson, a sophomore, also earned her first high school victory, pitching three innings of no-hit ball in relief of freshman Jennifer McLarty. They combined to allow three singles.
