Earl Mitchell, dean of Santa Ana College's business division, has received an award for excellence in community college research.
The Mertes Award came with a $500 cash prize, which was presented recently by the Assn. of California Community College Administrators. The annual award was established in 1996 to honor association members who produce significant research that will benefit community colleges statewide.
