Saugus 21, Burroughs 20--Jared Ambrose recovered a fumble by Keith Jarvo at the Saugus one-yard line with 1:32 to play, preserving a come-from-behind victory for the Centurions at Burroughs.

Burroughs (3-6, 0-4), which led, 14-0, at halftime and 20-7 entering the fourth quarter, drove 73 yards in three plays before Jarvo's fumble.

Saugus (3-6, 2-2) cut its deficit to 20-14 when Chad Garrett, who had six catches for 113 yards, scored on a 74-yard touchdown pass play from David Parker with 6:40 to play. An onside kick was recovered by Ambrose at the Saugus 39.

Eight plays later, Brian Kemp scored the go-ahead touchdown on an eight-yard run.

Parker completed 13 of 20 passes for 198 yards.

Mike Shamoon of Burroughs rushed for 137 yards in 16 carries and scored on a 27-yard run in the third quarter. He also made 11 tackles.

Joe Kroells completed 17 of 26 passes for 267 yards and a touchdown for the Indians.

Running back Sean Stoddard of Saugus suffered a knee injury in the second quarter and was taken at halftime to St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank.
